Ingredients

For the Slow Cooker
  • 2-3 chicken breasts seasoned with salt and pepper
  • 1 packet ranch seasoning mix
  • 1 packet chicken gravy mix
  • 1 cup water or chicken broth
  • 4 carrots sliced, optional

Method

  1. Generously season both sides of your chicken breasts with salt and pepper.
  2. Place the seasoned chicken breasts in a single layer in the bottom of your slow cooker.
  3. Sprinkle the entire ranch seasoning packet and the entire chicken gravy packet evenly over the top of the chicken.
  4. Pour 1 cup of water or chicken broth over the top.
  5. Scatter the sliced carrots around and on top of the chicken, if using.
  6. Set your slow cooker to LOW and cook for 4–6 hours, until the chicken is very tender and shreds easily with a fork.
  7. Using two forks, shred the chicken directly in the slow cooker. Stir everything together so the shredded chicken is coated in the rich gravy. Taste and adjust seasoning if needed.
  8. Serve generously over cooked rice or fluffy mashed potatoes, spooning plenty of gravy over the top.
